The Dallas Business Journal has named At Home Group one of its “Best Places to Work” for 2017.
At Home maintained that it grounds the entire corporate culture in five core values: Be creative. Work together. Be smart and scrappy. Do the right thing. Have fun. The company said it creates a positive, fun and inviting office culture and provides benefits such as free onsite meditation, fitness classes and summer hours.
“We are committed to making At Home a great place to work, grow and build a career, and are thrilled to be included in Dallas Business Journal‘s ‘Best Places to Work’ program for the second consecutive year,” said Lee Bird, At Home’s chairman and CEO. “I believe we have developed one of the most employee-centric, people-first company cultures and, because of that, we are able to attract top-tier talent both in our stores and our home office.”
In addition, the journal cited At Home chief people officer Valerie Davisson in its 2017 Women in Business Awards.
Bird added, “Valerie’s vision and leadership are vital to At Home’s culture. She has helped us create a strong corporate culture through the key strategy of being a great place to work and grow. This award is a testament to her unwavering respect, focus and dedication to At Home’s employee base.”
